Wholesale Boss Wheels: Custom, Chrome And Wholesale Rims

Customizing an automobile has long been a favored means of personal expression. In the classic days of muscle cars, people expressed themselves by customizing the engine. Yet as engines have become increasingly complicated, fewer people know how to, or care to, work under the hood on their own. Customizing an engine is an entirely different proposition today than it was decades ago, and that complexity scares many people off. Wheels, though, are simple, and have become the newest objects of decoration.

Chrome and silver have gone back and forth in appeal over the years, and rims have gradually gotten larger, with some running as large as 26 inches in diameter. The trend has largely favored cosmetic concerns over performance issues; as such, many of the flashier wheels available can have negative effects on braking, turning and smoothness of ride. This is directly attributed to the fact larger wheels will need thinner tires.

Boss wheels are among the most popular custom wheels on the market today. Boss wheels are manufactured by American Eagle Wheel, and are widely available in both retail stores and internet sites, often at wholesale prices. The market for custom wheels is notorious for its rapid shifts in taste and popularity; fortunately, Boss wheels and rims are available for just about any designer whim.
Boss wheels range in size from 17 to 24 inches, with over 20 different styles available. Several different finishes are also available with Boss wheels. Just about anything is available in chrome, but black, black chrome, silver and gray are among the other options. Buyers can also customize their Boss wheels with an assortment of designer caps and acorns.

Because of the booming popularity, auto makers are slowly beginning to court the market. Wheel customizations are gradually becoming available from the factory, though such options will be relatively limited. Manufacturers favor optimal performance over luxury, and have been reluctant to go larger than 17 inches. After-market companies like Boss wheels have much more ability to cater to cosmetic needs. Boss wheels are not necessarily the flashiest, though; they tend to be sturdier and more conservative. In other words, Boss wheels are not the ones that spin for a few minutes after the car has been stopped.

With a market carrying so many options and tastes changing so rapidly, the good news is that Boss wheels can be rented. Numerous companies have cropped up in recent years that operate as an ordinary rent-to-own furniture store, allowing younger customers to purchase their customizations in installments, instead of all up front. Wholesale prices also can be found from various internet sites, with package deals that sometimes can be over 50% cheaper than the retail price. Some of these sites also offer custom tires to complete the package. Custom wheels are heavy, so shipping options will play a large role in the overall price. With a little comparison shopping, the right custom package is not be difficult to find.
